Hatebreed LIVE At The Rave/Eagles Club- Photo Review- 3/24/18

The Rave/Eagles Club is infamous for hosting some of the greatest metal shows of all time. It is one of the greatest venues in Wisconsin and it is guaranteed you could see some of your favorite bands at this magnificent venue! Saturday night shows are everyone’s favorite day of the week to catch a show. Last Saturday night The Rave brought the ‘20 Years of Desire and 15 Years of Perseverance (Pt. 2)’ tour to the rave. Starting with Twitching Tongues, The Acacia Strain, Crowbar, and last but not least the infamous Hatebreed.

Twitching Tongues, a 5 piece band from Los Angeles, is quickly making their mark on the world. Not only just in the United States, but across different countries like the U.K! Vocalist Colin Young took the stage in a long cape with a mask and quickly grabbed the crowd’s attention. It’s not all that often that an opening band gets the crowd moving just as much as the following acts, but the crowd was pumped and gave Twitching Tongues the crowd response they deserve! Twitching Tongues played songs off their most recent 2018 album “Gaining Purpose Through Passionate Hatred” and their 2013 album “In Love There Is No Law”. Twitching Tongues opened their set with their song “Gaining Purpose” off their brand new 2018 album, and the crowd’s response to such a new song was amazing! Twitching Tongues is probably the best band to be opening up this killer tour package!

Next to conquer the stage was 5 piece band from Connecticut, The Acacia Strain! This band definitely doesn’t fuck around. They came on stage guns a blazin, and the crowd was instantly one whole mosh pit. The lights were low and the metal stage presence was there. Fans were jumping up and down, pushing and picking each other up, and screaming the lyrics to their favorite songs. Vocalist Vincent Bennett tossed the microphone into the crowd letting fans sing parts of songs, telling them “The mic is theirs” now if that doesn’t make a The Acacia Strain fan feel at home, I don’t know what would! Fans were not tiring out, the entire set the mosh pits were circling and heads were banging. No one was ready for this killer set to end, but The Acacia Strain ended their set with a fan favorite “JFC” off their 2008 album “Continent”.

Next on stage was 4 piece band from New Orleans, Crowbar. This band may have a way different style and vibe than The Acacia Strain, but the crowd was just as pumped for some Crowbar! The vibe from this band was great, fans had a blast moshing and head banging with their heavy metal family, and singing the words to many songs. A crowd favorite was definitely “Walk With Knowledge Wisely” a track off their 2014 album “Symmetry In Black”. Crowbar is so dedicated to their fans, so dedicated they are even selling some personally hand written lyrics, how cool! A live streamed video of Crowbar definitely isn’t the same, everyone definitely needs to get out and rage at a Crowbar show!

Now for the band we’ve all been waiting for. The infamous 5 piece band also from Connecticut, Hatebreed! As soon as Hatebreed took the stage, vocalist Jamey Jasta was shaking the hands of all their fans in the front row, and that really set the mood for a fantastic show for everyone. It’s so awesome to see a band so thankful for their fans! Hatebreed opened their set with their song “Empty Promises” off their album “Satisfaction Is The Death Of Desire” dating all the way back to 1997! They followed their set with songs like “Everyone Bleeds Now” off their 2009 self titled album, some fan favorites, “Destroy Everything” and “As Diehard As They Come” off their 2006 album “Supremacy”. It was a whole wave of Hatebreed that night, they played songs from many albums to satisfy old and new Hatebreed fans. Now what a phenomenal whopping 21 song setlist this was. But sadly all great things have to come to an end. Hatebreed closed out their memorable set with their song “I Will Be Heard” off their 2002 album “Perseverance”. Fans may have been a little beat up from falling, getting elbowed in jaws and crowd surfing, but the smiles were big on everyone’s face as they left the show! Hatebreed fans wear their battle scars with pride, they really are As Diehard As They Come!

This tour package is phenomenal and has something for everyone. Every metalhead needs to catch this show and hell, bring your parents! And even grandparents! Everyone could find something enjoyable about what this whole show brings to the table!
