August Burns Red LIVE at The Rave on the Phantom Anthem Tour- PHOTO REVIEW- 1/12/18

The Rave Eagles Club is always a metalheads favorite to come together with fellow metalheads to rage with some of their favorite bands. Saturday night shows are always a personal favorite. The killer package of the Phantom Anthem Tour definitely did not disappoint these concert goers.

To kick off the night was Ocean Grove, a 5 piece band hailing all the way from Melbourne, Australia. Ocean Grove had the crowd’s attention and participation from the second they came on stage. From their funky stage clothes, to their intense energy right off the bat. Ocean Grove has made their presence well known throughout the U.S. They blessed their fans with some of their well known songs including “Intimate Alien” off their 2017 album “The Rhapsody Tapes” which is close to hitting its 1 year release date anniversary. Another song that had the crowd moving as they closed out their set was “Stratosphere Love” also off their 2017 album. Ocean Grove was the perfect opener for this tour package, they were fun, had character, and grabbed the crowds attention instantly.

Next to concur the stage was ERRA, a 5 piece band all the way from Birmingham, Alabama. ERRA kicked off their set with their song “Irreversible” off their 2016 album “Drift”. ERRA is heavy and in your face. Especially for their song “Hybrid Earth” off their 2013 album “Augment”. Closing out ERRA’s set was their song “Skyline” also on their 2016 album “Drift”. Do yourself a favor and catch ERRA in an area near you!

Now, for a personal favorite. 5 piece band, Born of Osiris. Since Born of Osiris is from Palatine, Illinois, Milwaukee is no stranger to a Born of Osiris show. The crowd was on the edge of their seats waiting for Born of Osiris to take the stage. The darkness and fog added to the intensity as Born of Osiris made their way to the stage. Of course the crowd was pleased with some favorite songs including “Machine” off their 2013 album “Tomorrow We Die Alive” and “Bow Down” off their infamous 2007 EP “The New Reign”. Born of Osiris is a band that every deathcore fan needs to see live.

Last but not least the band we’ve all been waiting for. All the way from Lancaster, Pennsylvania was 5 piece band August Burns Red! They pummeled the stage with energy almost immediately opening with their song “King Of Sorrow” on the album they’re touring for, “Phantom Anthem”. They played many songs off their album “Phantom Anthem” like “The Frost” and “Invisible Enemy” both of which have some killer music videos to go with them. Some drummers don’t get the recognition they deserve. But August Burns Red drummer Matthew Greiner made sure he was getting the recognition he deserved. Matthew captured the audience’s attention with his incredible drum solo. So Although August Burns Red is promoting their fantastic 2017 album “Phantom Anthem” they also kicked it back a bit to close out their set with their song “Composure” off their 2007 album “Messengers”. August Burns Red never disappoints live, they seem like such a genuine band. They are a must see band!

The Phantom Anthem Tour is proving to be a super incredible tour package selling out multiple shows across the U.S. and blowing the minds of many. All four of these bands bring something different but yet fantastic to the table. Do yourself a favor and catch The Phantom Anthem Tour at a show near you!
